A group of four doctors who have been prescribed erectile dysfunction drugs have been arrested and charged with passing unlicensed Viagra, Cialis and Levitra across the border into the UK.
The case has been investigated by the Health Protection Service (HPS) and the Department of Health (DOH) as well as the Royal Victoria Hospital and the Highways Authority.
The HPS and the DOH are investigating the sale and possession of Viagra, Cialis and Levitra as part of a series of illegal drugs.
“The HPS, the DOH and the Royal Victoria Hospital have all been ordered to stop taking and dispossessing of Viagra, Cialis and Levitra. This has resulted in a number of other arrests and investigations, including one involving the HPS, the DOH and the Royal Victoria Hospital. We are investigating further this case and will be taking the appropriate action as soon as possible.”
The Health Protection Service is assisting the HPS in this investigation.
A spokesperson for the HPS told AAP, “The HPS is currently working with the Department of Health to investigate the sale and possession of Viagra, Cialis and Levitra across the border into the UK. As part of our ongoing investigations, we are now looking at the sale and possession of Viagra, Cialis and Levitra as part of a series of illegal drugs. We are therefore in complete control of this and will continue to work with the Department of Health and the Royal Victoria Hospital and the Highways Authority to investigate further this case.
“While this is concerning, we understand the concerns and have worked with the Department of Health and the Royal Victoria Hospital and the HPS to understand the challenges that may arise in doing so.”
A spokesperson for the Department of Health, who are also investigating the sale and possession of Viagra, Cialis and Levitra as part of the investigation, said: “We are actively investigating this case and will be working with the Department of Health and the Royal Victoria Hospital and the HPS to take appropriate action.”

The DOH is in complete control of this and will continue to work with the DOH and the Royal Victoria Hospital to take the appropriate action.”
